About
Tuning in to Toddlers Online Facilitator Training is a 2 x half-day professional development workshop that introduces trainees to use the Tuning in concepts for parents and carers of children between the age of 12 and 49 months.
The program emphasises both strengthening parents’ and carers’ own emotion regulation and supporting the development of children’s emotional skills during their early years using emotion coaching.
Key areas of Tuning in to Toddlers include:
– Understanding development in toddlers
– Using emotion coaching with young children who may be non-verbal
– Becoming more aware of the non-verbal aspects of emotion coaching
– Supporting parents in responding to separation, reconnection and tantrums
– Exploring parents’/carers’ meta-emotion, emotion regulation and self-care
– Using role plays more effectively in both individual and group settings.
The training is highly experiential, incorporating practice activities and teach-backs to consolidate learning from the initial Tuning in to Kids® training and strengthen delivery skills.
To receive certification, participants attend both training sessions in full.
