Catering is provided. Please inform us of any dietary requirements when completing the registration form

Program manuals will be available to pick up on the first day of training.

Trainees are asked to arrive at 8:45 am to register.

About

Tuning in to Kids In-Person Facilitator Training is a 2 day professional development workshop that gives trainees a grounding in the concepts of Emotional Intelligence and Emotion Coaching. These sessions are suitable for anyone who works with parents and kids in a professional capacity, particularly in family and community services, child protection, foster/kinship care, health, mental health and education sectors. Participants must attend all three sessions of training in full in order to receive certification.

What is covered in the training?  The training introduces professionals to the theory and research behind the program and outlines the philosophical approach, which is a focus on valuing emotions in the parent-child relationship. The training then covers the key skills taught in the program in an experiential way.

What is Included?

Registration includes:   
– 2 day in-person training   
– Program certification   
– Program manual & training materials
– Ongoing access to our self-paced introductory course, Tuning in to Kids Online (TIKOL)
– Access to our Facilitator portal upon completion, which houses additional facilitator resources including access to research articles, tip sheets, translations, parent handouts & video materials to assist in program delivery 
– Ongoing support via free supervision sessions, offered monthly by our training team. Please see our Supervision page for more information
    
Certification: Those completing the training will be certified as Tuning in to Kids program facilitators. To attain certification, you must attend each day in full.

We offer discounts for bookings of 7 or more staff across our facilitator trainings. Valid for remainder of calendar year.

Terms and Conditions

Changes to Registration Policy:
Registered participants who are unable to attend and notify us of this in writing at least 2 days before the workshop are allowed one transfer to another eligible participant or one transfer to an equivalent training in the same calendar year.

Cancellation Policy: Participants who cancel their registration up to 14 days before the training will receive a full refund. After 14 days before the training, participants will receive a refund minus an AUD$50.00 fee to cover administration costs. In exceptional circumstances, please contact tik-info@unimelb.edu.au

Tuning in to Kids reserves the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule events due to low enrolments or unforeseen circumstances.
