Trainees are asked to arrive at 8:45 am to register.

Pre-requisites and Suitability

You must have completed Tuning in to Kids/Teens facilitator training to take this workshop.

The accredited training is suitable for professionals who work with teachers.

Experience in delivery of Tuning in to Kids/Teens programs and work within the school setting is required, as a more comprehensive understanding of the Tuning In programs and schools is necessary for providing training to teachers.

The following prerequisites for this training are:

1. You must be trained in either Tuning in to Kids (if planning to work with primary school teachers) or Tuning in to Teens (if planning to work with secondary school teachers).

2. You will be either based at or connected to a school (e.g., as student wellbeing staff/psychologist/occupational therapist/ or other relevant profession) OR have proof of conducting prior professional development work with teachers.

3. You will have conducted a minimum of four Tuning in to Kids or Tuning in to Teens (or combination) groups if you are planning to deliver the program to groups of teachers or as a whole school approach delivery (i.e., to all school staff)

OR
You will have used the Tuning in to Kids or Tuning in to Teens programs in a one-on-one setting with at least 8 individuals if you are planning to work one-on-on with teachers.

What is Included?

Registration includes:   
– 1 day in-person training – catering is provided- Program certification in Tuning in to Students Whole School Approach delivery (confirmed prerequisite required)
– Program certification in Tuning in to Students One-to-One delivery (confirmed prerequisite required).
– Access to the Tuning in to Students Delivery Resources/Manual folder on the Tuning in to Kids Facilitator Portal upon completion. This folder houses the structured manualized delivery PowerPoints, teacher handouts & video materials, and additional facilitator resources (including access to research articles, tip sheets, emotion glossary, Emotion Regulation Alphabet, Emotion Tuning Wheel) to assist in program delivery.
– Ongoing support via free supervision sessions, offered by our training team. Please see our Supervision page for more information.
    
Certification: Participants who complete the training will be certified as Tuning in to Students facilitators. To receive certification, you must: attend the full day & meet all prerequisite requirements

Training Materials: Your digital facilitator workshop materials will be emailed to you before the training, and include the training PowerPoint and Teacher Handouts Booklet. 
The training costs include access to the TIS Resources Manual on the Tuning in to Kids portal, containing all materials required to deliver the program. You will receive full access to program delivery materials upon completion of the training.

Terms and Conditions

Changes to Registration Policy:
Registered participants who are unable to attend and notify us of this in writing at least 2 days before the workshop are allowed one transfer to another eligible participant or one transfer to an equivalent training in the same calendar year.

Cancellation Policy: Participants who cancel their registration up to 14 days before the training will receive a full refund. After 14 days before the training, participants will receive a refund minus an AUD$50.00 fee to cover administration costs. In exceptional circumstances, please contact tik-info@unimelb.edu.au

Tuning in to Kids reserves the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule events due to low enrolments or unforeseen circumstances.
