DESCRIPTION:PRE-REQUISITE: The Dads Tuning in to Kids workshop is open to certified Tuning in to Kids facilitators only. \nDads Tuning in to KidsTM is an evidence-based adaptation of the widely used Tuning in to Kids® parenting program. It has been developed by Dr. Katherine Wilson\, Dr. Sophie Havighurst and Ann Harley in Melbourne\, Australia\, to be suitable for use by Tuning in to Kids trained facilitators who would like to offer father-only parenting groups. The program focuses on the father-child emotional connection. It teaches fathers the skills in emotion coaching that are taught in Tuning in to Kids®\, provides additional content particularly relevant to fathers\, and suggests modifications to some program activities and processes. \nDads Tuning in to KidsTM  ONLINE VIA ZOOM is a half-day professional development workshop that gives trainees a grounding in the concepts of Emotional Intelligence and Emotion Coaching specifically tailored to dads and other male carers. The workshop blends lecture-style and experiential learning modules. This workshop is suitable for all experienced and qualified Tuning in to Kids facilitators in the caring sector whose client base includes children (approximately 3 – 10 years) and their parents. Participants who complete the workshop receive a certificate that authorises them to deliver the Dads Tuning in to Kids 6-week parenting program to parent and carers. \nTrainees are asked to login before or by 8.45am AEST for a 9.00am start – work will finish at 1.00pm on Friday July 3.  \nRegistrations closed. \nIMPORTANT: This workshop is  open to certified Tuning in to Kids facilitators ONLY. Please list your TIK completion date when registering. Participants outside Australia will incur an additional postal fee. The following is a guide only: NZ $50AUD; USA $80AUD;UK $80AUD; HK $72AUD; SING $72AUD; EUR $80-100AUD. Please contact us to confirm overseas postal charges before enrolling. Upon enrolling you will receive a postage payment link. Thank you. \nPlaces are limited. Participants will receive a zoom link after enrolling. Digital and hardcopy workshop materials will be sent by email and post. Please note\, program manuals are ONLY available via hardcopy. Participants must provide a mailing address. We strongly encourage participants to test their zoom link\, supporting software and hardware prior to the first session.
